Lingerie Please Helps Bag It Up’s Recycling Schemes

Bag It Up has been working with LingeriePlease to recycle bras for our partner charity the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

We have received a huge amount of support and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has got involved.

To date over 3,400 bras have been posted to our offices, with more arriving every day!

LingeriePlease have been very successful in publicising the campaign with features in many women’s magazines such as Marie Claire, Sugar, and ‘Yours’.

Due to the huge amount of success from this initial campaign Bag It Up has requested that Lingerie Please help them with further bra campaigns for:
They are also extending their support by urging their customers to donate all clothes, paired shoes, and household textiles to aid our partner charities:
It is estimated that up to three quarters (75%) of the public’s recyclable textiles and shoes are just being thrown away, ending up in landfill, which has a significant negative impact on our environment. By getting involved and donating your textiles you will be helping several causes because everything, where physically possible, is re-used or recycled.

Look out for the large textile banks that are placed at supermarkets, pubs, and community sites throughout the country. Please use the postcode locator at the top of our home page to find out where your nearest textile bank is located, and which charity you will be supporting by donating your unwanted clothes, paired shoes and household textiles.

To date Bag It Up has donated nearly £1.5million to charity, and with your help we can make this figure even higher!

THANK YOU.
